Excuse Me
Imagine yourself hanging out at your favorite coffee shop or enjoying a meal at a restaurant or even walking around doing a little window shopping. Now, imagine someone approaching you and saying,
“Excuse me. We don’t know what tomorrow may bring. For all we know the world could end. So I’m gonna go get drunk tonight and I think you should come home with me to have sex.”
How romantic! Oh, my heart is just full of warm fuzzies… Not!
I don’t know about you, but I would be appalled. In fact, somebody might just get smacked upside the head! I mean, come on… seriously. Who in their right mind would think this is even remotely acceptable!?
Apparently Pitbull, Ne-Yo and a few hundred thousand people who’ve made it the number one song in America (according to Billboard Magazine) do…
Now, I’m not that person who thinks secular music is satan’s mistress or anything. I get it, it’s a very catchy song. I’m not even saying you shouldn’t listen. I just think it’s important to know what it is we are listening to. In this case, I think the above quote is pretty accurate. What goes in must come out, right?
Here, watch for yourself and let’s chat about it. I’d sure love to hear your thoughts.
